Event Summary
HB 1085 (now PA 104-0446) sets a commercial behavioral health rate floor at 141.7% of Medicare for plans renewing on or after January 1, 2027. Whether it changes what your organization collects depends entirely on where your current contracts sit against that floor — and that calculation requires your payer mix, your current rates, and your provider roster, not an industry estimate.
For commercial-heavy practices, the window to negotiate from a position of data is closing. Commercial contracts for 2027 are being signed now. For Medicaid-heavy practices, three other provisions in the same law — trainee billing, same-day multi-provider services, and a 60-day credentialing clock with retroactive pay — open revenue that requires parallel operational work to capture.
In this 60-minute session, Jay Reeser (VP Payer Analytics, Neolytix — former VP Cigna, Director UHC) and Brian Morefield (Director of Business Development, Neolytix) walk through the rate-position diagnostic, the credentialing and enrollment workstreams, and what organizations in each funding situation should be doing before the January renewal cycle closes.
What You Will Walk Away With:
- How to calculate your organization’s actual position against the 141.7% floor using your payer mix and current contracted rates — not an industry average
- Why the commercial negotiation window matters more than the January 1 effective date, and what “contracts being signed now” means for your 2027 revenue
- The three provisions in PA 104-0446 that apply regardless of your commercial exposure: trainee billing rights, same-day multi-provider billing, and the 60-day credentialing clock with retroactive pay
- What the credentialing and enrollment workstreams look like in parallel — why they cannot wait until Q4 2026
- A clear picture of what peer organizations are already doing — and what it costs to start later than they did
